Single Photon Detectors
Abstract
Single photon imagers have had a relevant grown in last years thanks to their impact on industrial and scientific applications. The most important characteristic of these devices is high sensitivity (low light detection) and the capability to measure the arrival time of photons, allowing them to be suitable in a wide range of applications, including FLIM, direct time of flight sensor and random number generators. The special session would propose invited papers showing last developments at architectural, circuital or device levels, in main European and International centres working on this topic.
